DRAGON BALL Z Sequel Series, DRAGON BALL SUPER, Announced

Toei Animation has announced production on Dragon Ball Super (Japanese title; unconfirmed for English release) , the first new Dragon Ball TV show in 18 years. In Japanese, the title is Dragon Ball Chou (Super), as “chou” (超) means “super,” “hyper,” “ultra,” or even “very.”

Following the debut of the film Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection F , Dragon Ball Super will debut in Japan in July 2015.

Dragon Ball Super will take place after Goku’s battle with Majin Buu , as he attempts to maintain earth’s fragile peace.

The new series will be overseen by Dragon Ball’s original creator, Akira Toriyama and produced with Fuji Television.
