POKEMON GO | How To Find And Hatch Eggs And What Pokemon Will Hatch From Each Egg Type

In Pokemon GO, eggs can be used to hatch many kinds of wild Pokemon to add to your collection. This is your guide on what eggs can be found, where to find them, how to hatch them, and the types of Pokemon each egg will hatch.

Where are Pokemon GO eggs found?

Pokemon eggs can be acquired by visiting one of the many PokeStops located in the game. PokeStops can be located at landmarks around your area such as churches, post offices, or any other type of community hubs.

Once you are in close enough proximity to the PokeStop, you can tap on the icon to enter it. While inside spin the circular disc containing the logo of the PokeStop to reveal your received items.

Items are given at random and you will not always receive an egg. Pokeballs are the most common item distributed.

Once you find an egg, you are now ready to begin the hatching process.

How do I hatch my Pokemon GO egg?

To begin hatching your egg you must first put it in an incubator.

Incubators can only hold one egg at a time unless you buy or acquire additional incubators. To place an egg into an incubator follow these steps.

  • In the Map View, press the Pokeball to bring up the menu
  • Press Pok√©mon
  • At the top of the screen, press Eggs.
  • Select one of your Eggs
  • Press Start Incubation
  • Select an incubator to use on your Egg
Each egg has a predetermined distance you must walk or ride in order to make it hatch. Driving in a car will not work because there is a speed limit of 15 to 20 mph.

What types of eggs can I get in Pokemon GO?

There are three type of eggs that you can get in Pokemon GO.

Eggs come in the 2 km (1.2 miles), 5 km (3.1 miles), and 10 km (6.2 miles) varieties. The longer the distance the rarer the Pokemon you will receive, in most cases.

You must travel these distances with the Pokemon GO app open or you will not get credit for your travel.
